Sprawling Farm House

This private residence in Dover MA, sits on a ten acre horse farm. Planning the house around an existing three car garage, horse barn and stables, an in ground pool, and a guest house, as well as dealing with a sloped site proved to be both the challenge, and the critical pieces that helped shape the design. The clients wanted an open and informal floor plan with a contemporary feel while bridging the gap between contemporary and craftsman style on the exterior. The result is a home that spreads out over the hill on three levels, each space reaching for the sun and its surrounding site while striking a balance between privacy and views. This project was completed in the summer of 2005.
